Freelance writer chat lines and tips to Masthead are reporting that Toronto-based Explore magazine, published by Cottage Life Media, has been traded to OP Publishing of North Vancouver. In what may be a magazine swap, Masthead has been told that OP Publishing has traded its west-coast focused title, Cottage, to Cottage Life Media (formerly Quarto Communications).

Attempts to reach the principals of both magazines have not been successful.

OP Publishing also publishes Pacific Yachting, Canadian Aviator, BC Outdoors Sport Fishing, Western Sportsman and The Outdoor Edge, also a hunting and fishing title.

Cottage Life Media, part owned by multimedia producer Blue Ant Media Inc., publishes Cottage Life, Outdoor Canada and Canadian Home Workshop.
