Chatelaine Day episodes launching on Citytv's Cityline
THIS STORY HAS BEEN UPDATED: Chatelaine, a Rogers-owned publication, is extending its brand reach through a television show on another Rogers property, Citytv.
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 14, Chatelaine will present the "key ingredients" of the magazine with Chatelaine Day on Cityline.
Rogers Media says it's the first of several hour-long special Chatelaine Day episodes set to air throughout the year, "with the magazine experts and editors joining TV host Tracy Moore for an hour of entertaining lifestyle content to bring the best of Chatelaine to Canadian viewers, and share new ideas and fresh solutions."
The episodes will cover an array of topics and include feature segments on food, health, décor, style, beauty, and more. With these exclusive episodes airing on Cityline, "Chatelaine officially becomes a five-platform brand available in print, online, tablet, smartphone, and on television."
“Chatelaine is excited to be a part of such a legendary and authoritative program as Cityline,” said publisher Tara Tucker. “Both brands are dedicated to presenting, in an engaging way, what is most important to Canadian women—making this partnership a perfect fit with extraordinary possibilities.”
Advertisers will have the opportunity to advertise across all five platforms in the future, said Tara Tucker, Chatelaine's publisher. "We are looking at being extrememly integrated," she said. "For the first show that's airing next week, we haven't taken the full integration approach, but as the partnership develops, there will be many opportunities available."
There are currently ad bundles available across the Chatelaine's other platforms excluding television, noted the publisher. "Chatelaine is first and foremost a brand," said Tucker.
Tucker said there will be three episodes of Chatelaine Day for the remainder of this year, with plans for it to become monthly next year.
Chatelaine Day on Cityline features a variety of experts throughout the hour-long show, including health editor Laurie Jennings, home editor Virginie Martocq, food editor Claire Tansey, assistant fashion editor Tyler Franch, and other guest contributors such as Chatelaine's editor-in-chief Jane Francisco.
“Cityline is Canada’s leader in lifestyle television—the perfect complement to Chatelaine’s respected and trusted content,” said Jordan Schwartz, Vice-President, In-House Productions, Rogers Media. “Tracy and the Cityline team are looking forward to bringing the pages of Chatelaine to life on these special episodes.”
