CBP and Magazines Canada partner to produce 2010 KRW Awards
It has been announced that the Canadian Business Press and Magazines Canada will cooperate in producing the 2010 Kenneth R. Wilson Awards. The goal is to reengineer the awards as a national, bilingual and comprehensive celebration of Canadian b2b publishing.

The awards, which are owned by CBP will be managed by Barbara Gould & Associates, the same firm that produces the National Magazine Awards. “Our greatest mandate is to make sure that these awards cover all Canadian business to business publications,” said Gould. “Not just CBP, but also Magazine Canada’s members and anyone else who is not affiliated.” Gould said the event will be more upscale, along the lines of the National Magazine Awards.

This announcement follows the news earlier this fall that CBP had joined MagNet and would reduce Magazines University to a series of specific events. Nominations for the 2010 KRW Awards open on January 4 and close on January 29, 2010. The awards will be presented to coincide with MagNet, taking place in Toronto from June 1 to 4, 2010.
