BPA announces publisher site traffic widget
BPA recently announced a publisher “widget” that will provide real-time data feeds for websites owned by print media owners. It will provide the software code for the widget free to media owners participating with live data in the BPA Interactive Tool.
Manager of communications Glenn Schultz says the tool will update traffic metrics including daily page impressions and unique browsers using technology provided
by Nielsen Online. “The tool will allow users to promote their entire brand rather than just one part,” he says.
Before the announcement the widget was tested on five or six sites by placing it onto their media kit pages and Schultz says feedback has been good. It has already been requested from a few members since yesterday’s announcement.
CCAB is the Canadian division of the international circulation auditing organization BPA.
