Being promoted to editor in chief at b2b publication
Water Canada — The Complete Water Magazine is
Kerry Freek. She joined the book in 2007 as managing editor and has been promoted to coincide with the relaunch of the magazine.
Calgary-based
Impact magazine is looking for a new editor in chief with the announcement that current editor
Jay Winans will be leaving at the end of this
year. Winans started at the magazine in 1999 as a copy editor on contract. He became assistant then feature editor and was made editor in 2007. “I have done as much as I can do with the magazine,” he said. “It is time for someone else to come in and grow with the magazine and for me to pursue other career goals.” Joking that his future might be somewhere between sailing the world in a catamaran or auditioning for Cirque du Soleil he says he will be spending time writing a novel that has been neglected for far too long.
