Travel + Leisure opens branded airport store in Vancouver
As of this June, Travel + Leisure, owned by American Express Publishing, has become more than just a magazine; now it's a travel-themed retail store too, found exclusively in airports. The publication has partnered with Hudson Group, and the first new store opened last month at Vancouver International Airport.

Plans are already underway to open new Travel + Leisure stores at Halifax International Airport and JFK International Airport (terminal 2), plus stores-within-stores in Orlando Sanford and San Francisco National Airports. These stores will carry common travel goods, such as luggage, travel accessories, maps and magazines and books released by Travel + Leisure and their sister publication, Food & Wine. Some book titles include World's Greatest Hotels, Unexpected Italy and F&W's Cocktail Guide.

Hudson Group owns more than 550 newsstands and shops in 69 airports across Canada and the U.S., but this is the first time they’ve partnered with a magazine. In the past, they’ve helped build media-branded newsstands for CNN, which, according to Hudson’s website, combine “the immediacy and information of a CNN telecast with the full functionality and convenience of Hudson News.”
