Freelancer takes to Twitter to expose low-paying writing jobs
A US-based freelance writer is calling out companies who expect writers to produce work for little pay, using the Twitter handle @crapwritingigs. The account is run anonymously, and the poster is known only as “Freelance Writer.” Freelance Writer shared their motivation to start the account with j-source, “The goal is to call out companies for their terrible rates, and also to remind writers that they’re worth more than the miserly fees that are being offered all too often for online writing.”
