61st annual KRW Awards honours the best B2B publications
The gala for the 61st annual KRW Awards took place last night at the Grand Banking Hall in Toronto. John Milne, president of Breakwell & Company and vp of Media Services at Equisoft, hosted the event where Gold, Silver and Honourable Mention awards were presented in 21 written, visual, integrated and special categories.
The coveted Magazine of the Year award went to University Affairs, in the Professional category, and Canadian Grocer in the Trade category.
CPA Magazine was awarded Gold in the Best Issue category for The Money Issue (May 2014), and University Affairs won Silver for their Right to be Safe Issue (November 2014).
Foodservice and Hospitality’s Food issue won Gold in the Best Cover category and the Silver went to Professionally Speaking for On the Road to Great Nutrition.
Last night was also a good night for individual recognition. John Lorinc won Gold in the Best Profile of a Person category for his piece in CPA Magazine, as did Valérie Lesage for her profile in Les Affaires. The Best Feature Article-Trade category saw a tie between Carmelle Wonlfston in OHS Canada and Leah Lawrence in Oilweek for Silver.
The KRWs were produced by the Canadian Business Media association, a nation-wide trade association that represents the B2B media industry.
