Venture Publishing hires new sales agency WesternSync for representation

Venture Publishing, the distributer for Alberta Venture and Alberta Oil magazines and websites has entered into a contract with WesternSync, a new sales agency, to provide them with representation in Ontario and Quebec.

WesternSync’s managing director is Brian Trotter. Trotter managed his own representation firm for seven years then moved on to The Globe & Mail, where he worked as the national account manager/category manager for the marketing solutions group for 16 years. He left The Globe at the end of June to start WesternSync.

“Brian brings a wealth of knowledge to this task which will be of great benefit to Venture Publishing,” Anita McGillis, Venture’s vice president of sales said.  “As the publisher of business magazines in the wealthiest and fastest-growing region in North America, we know the opportunities are significant. Brian will provide the information and service that our national advertising clients are seeking as they target Alberta’s influential and affluent business community.”
