This magazine unveils new look

The culture and politics mag has been redesigned front to back, because, according to editor Lauren McKeon, "When you're around for 46 years, it's important to breathe new life into the magazine every once in a while." It has been years since the last redesign, she added.
The book reviews section has doubled ("we have stacks and stacks of books here at the office that we would have loved to review, but there just wasn't the space in the magazine") and nixed the Postcard section (international news) in favour of more Canadian content.
This's art director Dave Donald executed the redesign, but the "whole This magazine team was responsible for coming up with the redesign vision," noted McKeon, adding reader input was considered — including the request for more book reviews.
The lead story for the redesigned issue is a bold one that is sure to stir some discussion: Corporate Hall of Shame, 50 Canadian companies singled out for their "bad deeds."
