Lee Slinger

The Dance Current is going through some changes, starting with the appointment of editor, Lee Slinger.

Slinger is a Toronto-based researcher, writer and editor, who previously worked for various Canadian Scholars’ Press Inc. publications. The former École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec student, has also taught art history and writing skills at OCAD University and Ryerson University, and holds a doctoral degree in British History from York.

“The board and I are delighted to welcome Lee to the team and to be evolving our staff configuration in our new digs at 401 Richmond,” executive director and founding editor Megan Andrews said.

Other changes that will take place over the next few months include:

“It’s a year of renewal at The Dance Current, and we are heading into the future with a fresh outlook,” Andrews said. “I’m particularly excited that Brittany will be staying on and working closely with Lee to shape our editorial content. It’s also a great pleasure to have Sarah Lochhead back on the team and taking on increased responsibility. I look forward to working with everyone to ensure that The Dance Current remains at the forefront of excellence as Canada’s dance magazine.”

The Dance Current is published by Dance Media Group/ Groupe Danse Média six times a year, while content can be found online daily.
