Magazines Canada wants you to read local
Magazines Canada has launched a national campaign to remind Canadians about our homegrown publications.
The Canadian Magazine Mashup campaign was launched in stores on Canada Day, alongside the first video in an ongoing series, and a curated blog featuring Magazine Moment must-reads.
“This campaign plays to the diversity of interests held by today’s consumers,” Matthew Holmes, Magazines Canada CEO, said. “We wanted to create something that shows how much there is to discover at a Canadian magazine stand — there really is something there for everyone.”
The hashtag #MagazineMoment will be used to promote campaign related content and the three mashup videos will be released throughout the year (first one is above), each demonstrating what can happen when you pick up a Canadian magazine. The campaign will roll out fully in the autumn of 2016.
Magazine Mashups will be released on social media at @MyCdnMags, online at CanadasMagazineStore.ca/video, in retail locations across the country and in partnership with exciting Canadian events, organizations and festivals happening all year.
