Canopy to recognize publishers, printers for protecting forests
Canopy, a not-for-profit conservation organization dedicated to protecting the world’s forests, has announced the 2012 Ancient Forest Friendly Awards are open for entry.

“The 2012 Ancient Forest Friendly Awards are a company’s chance to show customers and competitors that when it comes to sustainability, they don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk – better than anyone,” says Amanda Carr, Canopy’s campaign director. “The AFF Awards provide a true measure of the great work and meaningful action companies are undertaking to improve paper purchasing and support forest conservation.”

The 2012 awards categories include Gold, Best In Class, Conservation Supporter, and Most Improved. All companies who complete the 2012 Ancient Forest Friendly Awards survey will be recognized for their investment, noted the organization.

Canopy says it works with all Ancient Forest Friendly Award winners to promote their achievements. Online promotion includes Canopy’s website, social media channels, and an e-newsletter.
