Record number of registrants for COPA; online tickets close today
A record number of digital publishing enthusiasts have registered to attend the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA) party coming this Monday, Oct. 22.
The growing list of publications to be represented at COPA include CBC, Globe and Mail, Rogers Media, TVA Publications, TC Media, Cottage Life Media, IT World Canada, The Walrus, The Grid, Toronto Star, and YummyMummyClub.ca.
Online registration closes today, at $25 a ticket, but those who miss the deadline can still get in at the door for $40. The event has a new, bigger home this year in The Hoxton, 69 Bathurst St., at King St.
Tickets include the first-ever 2012 COPA Yearbook: The Who’s Who of Digital Publishing in Canada, along with hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening.
As well, it's a chance for guests to share their digital success stories: COPA sponsor Agility CMS will be on hand recording thoughts from attendees about who they think should win in the category of best online-only article or series (which Agility is presenting), as well as asking attendees about their most successful online initiative this year.
The video will be compiled into a 3-5 minute finished product posted on Youtube, linked from Agility's Unbound Media blog.
This year's COPA emcee is Amber MacArthur (Amber Mac), an entrepreneur, television host, professional speaker, and bestselling author.
