Broken Pencil announces deadline for Indie Writers Deathmatch

Broken Pencil is holding it’s annual Indie Writers Deathmatch short story contest. Dubbed the world’s most dangerous writing competition, writers are given the opportunity to share a piece of daring fiction with judges who will pit submissions against each other. The grand prize winner is chosen by the readers. Last year, over 50,000 votes were cast.

The winner will receive the Indie Writer's Makeover, which includes a consultation with literary agent Sam Hiyate, a blue pencil session with Globe & Mail culture columnist and novelist Russell Smith and advice and feedback from publisher BookThug.
They will also receive $400 cash and will be published in the Spring 2016 issue of Broken Pencil.

Entries need to be submitted by December 31, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Visit the website to enter the contest and for more information.
