People in Publishing: Glow magazine bulks up team, Canadian Business appoints editor
Glow magazine, which was recently taken over by St. Joseph Media from Rogers Publishing, is bulking up its editorial team.

Lisa Hannam is now on board as health editor, Tania Kwong is the beauty editor and Daniel Mackinnon has been named art director.

Hannam has been a writer for more than 10 years, holding editing positions at Best Health, Oxygen, Marketing and more. Her writing has appeared in titles such as Reader's Digest and Clean Eating magazine.

Kwong has more than seven years of editorial experience with magazines including Hello! Canada. She won a 2011 P&G Beauty and Grooming Award for Best Creative Feature.

Mackinnon started his career as a designer for Toronto Life and Fashion more than a decade ago. He was once the deputy art director for Chatelaine.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph has posted an opportunity for assistant beauty and fashion editor at Glow on Masthead, while also opening an opportunity for a bilingual editor at Glow's sister publication, Pure.

The May 2012 issue of Glow will be the first published by St. Joseph Media.

In other news, Duncan Hood has been appointed as editor of Canadian Business magazine, effective Jan. 1. Hood joined Rogers Media seven years ago, progressing through roles with Maclean's and MoneySense.

Paul Grossinger, founder and president of KAP Media, has sold titles to Annex Business Media while joining Annex as group publisher — security media.

Margot Austin recently joined House and Home as senior design editor. She was previously senior design editor with Style at Home.
