Applications being accepted for 2012-13 Aid to Publishers funding
Magazine publishers have until Dec. 12 of this year to apply for 2012-13 Aid to Publishers funding under the Canadian Periodical Fund (CPF).
The Department of Canadian Heritage has released its 2012-13 applicant's guide and form, both available at through its website.
Aid to Publishers (ATP) provides financial assistance to paid-circulation non-daily newspapers and paid or request circulation magazines.
Magazine publishers saw a change for the 2011-12 cycle regarding how much funding they received from previous years. 2010 was the first year of the new CPF, which replaced the old postal subsidy (Publications Assistance Program) and Canada Magazine Fund.
Aside from farm periodicals, the maximum financial support that can be received by any periodical for the 2012-13 cycle remains at $1.5 million, notes the newest applicant's guide.
