Playboy magazine with an annual edition to be released in February 2025. Playboy founded in December 1953, shuttered its print operations in 2020, after facing recent struggles with founder Hugh Hefner’s death in 2017 and the floundering of the print business at large. Mark Healy has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief for Playboy magazine's first print edition since 2020. Healy is a well-known content leader, journalist and editor who brings a wealth of experience in the media industry and held senior positions at the GQ, Rolling Stone, and Men’s Journal, where he was Editor-in-Chief.

The magazine’s upcoming February 2025 print issue will be released at a launch event and celebration during the Big Game Weekend in New Orleans.“It’s no surprise that media consumption habits have been changing for some time – and while the stories we produce and the artwork we showcase is enjoyed by millions of people on digital platforms, our content in its printed form reaches the hands of only a fraction of our fans,” Playboy Enterprises CEO Ben Kohn said at the time of the decision, announcing a “digital first publishing schedule.” Kohn announced a return to form in August of last year, saying in a statement that the print edition would be part of a larger rebrand of the Playboy franchises. Along with Harvey, the new issue will feature comedian Nikki Glaser — off of a successful Golden Globes hosting stint — and the yet-to-be-revealed Playmate of the Year.
