The National Magazine Awards Foundation has launched a portrait series showcasing this year’s National Magazine Award winners.

With this series the organization aims to recognize the excellence in magazine, writing and art production, by discussing what makes for great storytelling. The photos were taken by Steve Goetz, and the interviews were conducted by Melissa Myers.
