Dorman Sales & Marketing has acquired PETS Magazine, from Simmons Publishing Ltd.

The magazine features information on pet health and wellness and will now undergo an overhaul, which includes a fresh website and digital strategy, expanded partnerships and wider circulation.

It is currently distributed through veterinary clinics and has a readership of more than 70,000.
David and Sharron Dorman, owners of Dorman Sales & Marketing completed the acquisition on July 4, 2016.

“Our goal is to give pet owners a one-stop shop for information on keeping their beloved pets happy and healthy,” David Dorman said. “We plan on complementing the high-quality magazine and its proud 30-year history with an expanded digital presence, and we look forward to taking PETS Magazine to the next level.”

While no changes are expected in the magazines editorial and arts teams, administration of the magazine will move to New Brunswick and a new Ontario-based advertising sales director has been appointed. PETS will continue to be printed in Ontario and distributed by Canada Post.
