BCBusiness and BCLiving appoint new chief content officer and publisher
 Charlene Rooke
BCBusiness and BCLiving have appointed Charlene Rooke as its chief content officer and publisher. Rooke comes to the BC family from The Globe and Mail Custom Content Group, where she was the Editorial Director, overseeing ideation development and delivery of editorial content for all custom media on all platforms.

Prior to The Globe Rooke was contributing editor to the LCBO magazine Food & Drink; Editor for Avenue Calgary and enRoute magazine; Executive Editor, Luxury Brands at Spafax Canada and Editor-in-chief at Western Living where she founded the Designer of the Year Awards and oversaw Western Living Condo SIP.

Rooke has also taught magazine writing at the University of Toronto and has been active with the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association and the Western and National Magazine Awards Foundations. Rooke started her new position on Jan. 5.
