AAM's Top 10 Canadian consumer magazines for the second half of 2012
AAM data for the second half of 2012 has been released, and it shows an overall decline of 3.5% in paid and verified circulation for Canadian consumer magazines. For the 67 magazines that reported data for the six-month periods ending Dec. 31, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2011, paid subscriptions were down an average of 6.2% and single-copy sales declined 1.2%.

Chatelaine (No. 1) held steady in the Total Paid & Verified Circulation rankings with a 0% change from last year. Canadian Living (No. 2) crept up 0.9%, while Reader's Digest, Canadian English edition (No. 3), which held the top spot in June for the first half of the year, tumbled 15.2%. Other declines were Maclean's (No. 4) dropping 5.5%, and Canadian Geographic (No. 9) falling 8.4%.

For single copy sales, Canadian Living continued on at No. 1 with a 3.05% gain. Rounding out the top three were Chatelaine (No. 2) and Canadian House & Home (No. 3), each increasing sales by around 8%. Moneysense (No. 10) made the biggest jump in singles sales with an 83.21% increase, moving 32,213 copies in 2012 compared to 17,583 in 2011, while Style at Home (No. 6) saw a rise of over 10% and Coupe de Pouce (No. 7) gained over 16%. LouLou Canada's Shopping Magazine (No. 9) fell 14.81%.
