Win a ticket to the Young Influencers Conference
Submit your entries to the Regional Design Awards (produced by Masthead sister title Design Edge Canada) by end of day Friday, Feb. 17, and your name will be entered in a draw for a chance to win a ticket (worth $425 each) to The Young Influencers Conference. There will be two draws for one ticket each; winners will be notified on Monday, Feb. 20.
The conference's keynote speaker is Shane Smith, chief executive officer and founder of Vice Media, "the rags-to-riches youth media empire recently valued at $1 billion by Forbes." The empire began with the launch of Vice magazine in Montreal.
Hosted by Marketing magazine, The Young Influencers Conference is a one-day event taking place in Toronto on Feb. 23. Its aim is to explore how to connect with the 16-24 demographic. Other guest speakers include Justin Kingsley, VP, strategy at Sid Lee; Brian Wong, Canadian founder of social gaming company Kiip; and Sidneyeve Matrix, a Queen's University media professor whose focus is targeting youth on campus.
The final submission deadline for the Regional Design Awards (the Reggies) is March 2, 2012. Among the 14 categories are Print Editorial, Typography, Web Design and Mobile Design.
