Free sessions at COPA+ digital publishing conference Oct. 24
Some of the world's leading developers of digital publishing software and services will be in Toronto for a limited time during the COPA+ Digital Publishing Conference at the Gladstone Hotel.
A special "COPA Café & Market" from 2:15 to 5 p.m. features table-top displays from Canadian, American and Swedish app and digital edition developers plus the two audit bureaus, ABC and CCAB, which offer many new services for publishers wanting to improve sales across all platforms including web, digital editions, apps and e-newsletters.
Admittance to the Café & Market is free but registration is required. Market vendors include (in alphabetical order):
ABCinteractive: Learn about the Audit Bureau of Circulation's growing suite of interactive audit services, including website traffic audits, e-mail newsletter audits, Digital Technology Accreditation Program (including ad delivery audits), and audit services for advertising agencies and advertisers.
Aysling Digital Media Solutions: Aysling is both a WoodWing Gold Solution Partner and Adobe Partner providing digital publishing solutions for content presentation, including print, web, iPad, tablets and mobile, for publishers and other organizations.
CCAB: The Canadian division of BPA Worldwide, CCAB delivers consumer and business media audits of print circulation and also now also audits for website traffic, email newsletters, databases, wireless and other advertiser-supported media.
Mag+: Mag+ is a platform for publishing creative content on touchscreen tablets. Mag+ premiered on the first iPads in April 2010 with the award-winning Popular Science+, and supports dozens of live titles in the iTunes Store.
Mygazines: Mygazine solutions range from completely customizable page-turning digital editions to dedicated content management systems. Content can be accessed through desktop computers or on the most popular mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone and Android phones.
Texterity: Texterity's digital solutions offer non-Flash technology that displays publisher content on all platforms including desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets and emerging devices.

The free sessions are just part of the full COPA+ Digital Publishing Conference and Awards, happening all day Oct. 24 at the Gladstone.
A few seats are still available for the full conference including all keynote sessions, the Market and the Canadian Online Publishing Awards reception in the evening.
The conference starts at 9:15 a.m. and the Awards begin at 5 p.m. Attendees include the leaders in Canada's online and digital publishing sphere, from magazines, newspapers, broadcasters and online-only players.
