Be Fabulous! launches in Edmonton
Be Fabulous!, a print magazine aimed at women over 50 has been launched in Edmonton. The magazine is published by Gryphon Publishing and is an extension of the Fabuous@50 trade show, and a women’s group of the same name.
The magazine will have a minimum of 32 pages per issue and be published bi-monthly,
said publisher Dianna Bowes.
Starting with a controlled circulation of 10,000 for the March launch issue, Be Fabulous! will be distributed in local grocery stores, pharmacies, hair salons and events, said Bowes.
All content in the magazine is created by women in the community, aside from the editorial and feature pieces, said Bowes. “Stories aren’t overly long so people with short attention spans can read them,” she said. “Most of the people featured are local and happen to be experts in the field.”
The digest size magazine is looking for advertisers from small shops to major players, said Bowes. A one-time back page ad in the magazine is $1,200 and inside pages cost $600.
