Rogers partners with NBC Universal to launch iVillage Canada
Rogers Media recently announced a partnership with NBC Universal to launch a Canadian branch of iVillage.

iVillage.ca will be launched in the spring and headed by general manager and director Leigh Felesky, who previously worked on the re-launch of Chatelaine.com last year.

Rogers Media will be responsible for advertising on iVillage.ca, as well as representing Canadian advertising inventory on existing iVillage sites, including iVillage.com and iVillage.co.uk., said Felesky. The expansion marks the first international partnership for iVllage since the launch of iVillage.co.uk in December 2000.

Editorial for iVillage.ca. will be a combination of original content published by Felesky’s soon to be hired team and repurposed pieces from other Rogers Media properties, including Today's Parent, Chatelaine and Flare.

Felesky said creating an environment where Canadian women can go and engage with each other and relevant content is her top goal for iVillage.ca. "iVillage is really good at engagement already, providing the Canadian angle will only strengthen it," she said.

Rogers Media operates Rogers Broadcasting and Rogers Publishing.
