Magazine Association of B.C. announces new board of directors, conference details
The Magazine Association of B.C. has announced changes to its board of directors and committees for the coming year.
Association secretary Melissa Revington has left NUVO magazine for a position at DLT Media in London.
The new executive positions we elected at the association’s board meeting at the end of November:
The board also voted to collapse the dormant circulation committee into the marketing committee and the nominating committee into the membership committee.
On deck for the Magazine Association of B.C. in the new year is the Conference on the Coast: BC’s 10th Annual Magazine Camp happening from January 28-30 at the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre in Nanaimo, B.C.
The conference, formerly known as Camp BCAMP will include seminars from Quarto Communications general manager Terry Sellwood, Vancouver magazine editor John Burns and Granvileonline.ca digital editor Hilary Henegar. For more information on the weekend-long development camp, visit Magsbc.com/cotc.

- President: Kim Mah, managing editor, TVWeek
- Vice-President: Steve Ceron, publisher, Arrival
- Treasurer: Alexandra Samur, managing editor, rabble.ca
- Secretary: Michele MacKenzie, marketing consultant, Business in Vancouver magazines
