Andrew Nikiforuk has been named the first writer in residence at The Tyee. Nikiforuk will be writing on ‘Energy and Equity’.

Kristen Vinakmens is the new beauty editor at Flare. Vinakmens has previously worked with Glow, Elle, Today’s Parent and most recently as online editor with P&G’s custom publication Rouge.

RedPoint Media Group-published custom West Jet publication Up! magazine has named Debra Cummings as its new editor. Cummings will start August 16 and has previously worked as an instructor of journalism at Mount Royal University and as a radio personality on the CBC, covering travel.
