Rogers closes Blend
Rogers has announced the closing of Blend, an add-on supplement to Plastics in Canada Magazine created to replace Coatings late last year.
“Blend has been discontinued as a supplement of Plastics in Canada Magazine due to a long-term contraction of the coatings manufacturing industry,” said Rogers business and professional publishing executive publisher Tim Dimopoulos in an e-mail. “It is common practice for publishers to introduce tactical supplements into the marketplace to fill a reader or advertiser need. We do this and will continue to in the future.”
The paint coatings and industrial finishing markets that Coatings and Blend covered will now be served in Overspray, a supplement of Canadian Metalworking Magazine, said Dimopoulos.
No jobs were lost as a result of the closing of Blend, said a Rogers representative.
Coatings magazine was established in 1979 and was published seven times a year.
