Spafax wins contract to produce Bombardier magazine
It was announced yesterday that custom publishing company Spafax has won the contract to produce Bombardier’s Experience magazine. Editorial director Arjun Basu says the magazine will be going through some changes to improve readability and the overall look.

The bi-annual magazine has a controlled circulation of 15,000 and is sent to customers and clients of Bombardier and air shows worldwide. “The audience means we have to approach it as a global magazine both from a creative and a sales point of view,” says Basu.

A decision has not been made as to who will print the publication, but Basu says one of the reasons Spafax was chosen is for its Canadian ties. “One of the things that Bombardier wanted to ensure is that the printing will be done locally,” he says.

Basu says that the contract is a nice way to round out a challenging 2009 for the company, which also produces Air Canada’s enRoute magazine. “Halfway though the year our expectations were being challenged but this contract has helped it turn out to be a good year.”
