Special Report: Ad Sales Roundtable '09
The impact of the massive decline in magazine ad sales over the last eight months or so has been devastating. Hundreds have been laid off, major titles have closed and everything from frequency to paper stock quality has been cut-back. Advertisers and agencies, meanwhile, continue to demand more from the magazines they partner with: more platforms, more integration, more discounts and deals. Wanting to delve deep into the issues facing ad reps across the industry, Masthead gathered three of the country's best and most experienced salespeople for a roundtable discussion that is now available to readers in a special new format.

Our panel included:
  • Jane Bradley, publisher, Parents Canada, Family Communications
  • Randy Craig, director of advertising and marketing, Cottage Life/Explore, Quarto Communications
  • Brian Stendel, president, Keystone Media (sales representation for Food & Drink, The Beaver, BC Magazine)
The new Special Report format is a PDF document that looks like the print edition of Masthead. You can read the file onscreen and click on links, or print it out and read it at your leisure.

In May, we will use the same format to publish our annual list of Canada's Top 50 magazines by revenue.

To download the file, head over to this page and click the downloadble link.
