Bayard Canada, which publishes Chirp, Chickadee and Owl magazines, as well as Owlkids Books, has purchased Maple Tree Press Inc. from Key Publishing Company Ltd.

Maple Tree Press publishes children's books such Wow Canada!, You Asked? and the Canadian Flyer Adventures series.

"Both Maple Tree and Owlkids have played a big part in the lives of chiildren parents and teachers through their publishing programs," said Owlkids group publisher Jennifer Canham in a release.
