U of Guelph-Humber media students nominated for 7 Pinnacle Awards
The Summer 2014 issue of Emerge Magazine
Students in the University of Guelph-Humber media studies program have been nominated for seven Pinnacle Awards for their fourth-year project, Emerge; a multiplatform assignment that includes a glossy magazine incorporating editorial and branded content, a one-day media conference, media and conference websites, a photography exhibit and social media strategy.
 
The Pinnacle Awards recognizes the excellence in student-produced college media created during the 2013-2014 academic year. The 93rd annual event will take place at the fall national college media convention in Philadelphia, Oct 29- Nov.2.
 
Emerge has been nominated in the following categories:
 
•Website of the Year (four-year program)
•Feature Magazine of the Year (four-year program)
•Best Ad Supplement/Special Section
•Best Magazine Contents Page/Spread (Design)
•Best Magazine Entertainment Page/Spread (Design)
•Best Online Main Page (Design)
•Best Social Media Main Page (Design)
