Ryersonian To Be Renamed

Ryerson University recently accepted all 22 recommendations of the Standing Strong (Mash Koh Wee Kah Pooh Win) Task Force, including changing the university’s name.  In addition to the name change, the task force, which has been working for the last 10 months, recommended sharing materials to recognize the legacy of Egerton Ryerson, and providing more opportunities to learn about Indigenous history and Indigenous and colonial relations.

Name changes will also be adopted by the Journalism school’s Review of Journalism, which had been referred to as the [   ] Review of Journalism (informally, the Review or the [ ]RJ).

In July the school announced the publication will be known as Review of Journalism.

The Ryersonian will also be renamed. The school is reaching out to students, staff, faculty, and alumni to participate in the renaming.
