The 2026 Canadian Community Newsmedia Awards (CCNAwards) celebrate excellence in local journalism from across the country. Publishers, editors, and reporters from community newspapers are invited to submit their best work. Entry deadline is May 21, 2026. Hosted by News Media Canada, this year’s awards program will shine a spotlight on the vital role that community newspapers play in informing, connecting, and strengthening communities through outstanding achievements in reporting, photography, design, and digital innovation.
