Magazines Canada has appointed Matthew Holmes as its new CEO, effective January 25, 2016. Holmes will replace Mark Jamison who announced plans to step down earlier in the year.

Holmes has a background in government policy development and strategic relations and is the founding executive director of the Canada Organic Trade Association.

"I find the diversity of our consumer brands, the distinct cultural values of our arts and literary titles and the progressive outlook of our business media publishers all working together in one organization absolutely amazing.
