Fly AWAY with Toronto’s latest travel magazine
St. Joseph Communications, Media Group has partnered with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) to launch AWAY; a new quarterly magazine that will serve outbound passengers at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

The first issue will launch mid-December to take advantage of the holiday travel season and will feature stories on shopping, food and drink, behind-the-scenes airport stories, worldwide destinations, travel tips and maps to help passengers navigate the airport.

200,000 copies will be printed per issue and will be available for free on dedicated racks at passenger departure locations throughout Terminals 1 and 3. The 64-page magazine will also be available in English and French on 2500 iPads throughout the same departure areas.  Maryam Sanati, editorial director, special projects for Toronto Life and Deborah Stokes, senior editor at Content labs are editorial co-leads on the magazine.

“We see AWAY magazine as valuable offering to Toronto Pearson’s expected 39 million annual passengers,” Scott Collier, Vice President of Customer and Terminal Services for the GTAA said. “We’re looking forward to an opportunity to connect our passengers with the products, destinations and stories that will enhance their travel experience.”

St. Joseph Media will be responsible for all of AWAY’s content and design, advertising sales and printing, as well as the tablet edition. The media company’s magazine titles include Toronto Life, FASHION Magazine, Wedding Bells, Glow and Pure.
