The 40th FIPP World Magazine Congress will be held in Toronto, marking the event's first ever Canadian date. The announcement was made today at the 39th World Congress in Rome.

The international conference, which will coincide with FIPP's 90th anniversary, will be held on September 21-23, 2015 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The Congress was first hosted in 1925 and is held every other year.

"Toronto will be a fabulous host city, it's the cultural, financial, and entertainment centre of Canada, one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world, and is home to our colleagues at Magazines Canada," said Chris Llewellyn, president and chief executive officer of FIPP, in a Magazines Canada statement.

FIPP, a worldwide magazine media association, has over 700 member companies including 56 national magazine associations, more than 500 publishing companies with international interests, and over 150 suppliers.
