Alberta’s magazine publishing industry has joined forces with the province’s book publishers to expand the Read Alberta eBooks project, launched in 2017, to include digital editions of 42 of the province’s magazines.
The project launched at public libraries across Alberta on Oct. 24. Library patrons will be able to borrow eMagazines covering a diverse range of topics including lifestyle, sports and leisure, crafting, current affairs, cities and regions, literary arts, food and drink, and special interest titles.
The Read Alberta eMagazine public library collection marks an important collaboration between AMPA and the Government of Alberta. The ongoing investment in the growth of the collection over the coming years will benefit Albertans, magazine publishers, libraries, educators and will support an important economic contributor in the province, said AMPA.
