The 2026 Edition of the Canadian Online Publishing Awards has been released. It includes a new division for Audio/Streaming content creators and 8 new categories.

Martin Seto, producer of the COPAs, wanted to do a refresh to make sure the COPA stays fresh and relevant in its 18th year. One of the new categories is AI assisted design, as the COPAs dips its toe in the world of AI.

NEW DIVISION

Audio and Streaming Content (Purple)

This division is open to any digital channel that streams audio and video that includes radio, TV and streamers on digital channels (Youtube, Spotify, Apple).
