The Parents’ Choice Committee has recognized six Canadian magazines in its annual awards. 
The Parents’ Choice Awards celebrates the best material for children: books, toys, music and storytelling, magazines, software, video games, television and websites. It was created to help parents make informed decisions about these products and the judging panel is made up of educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and kids.

In the magazine category the winners are:

• Brainspace – Gold award
• Chirp  – Gold award
• chickaDEE  – Gold award
• Owl  – Silver award
• BAZOOF! – Parents’ Choice Approved
• WILD – Parents’ Choice Recommended
