Brunico makes a bid for NATPE

runico Communications, publishers of Kidscreen, Realscreen, Playback, Media in Canada and Strategy, is bidding to purchase certain assets of NATPE, a global events company. Brunico has offered $150,000 for NATPE Global, NATPE Budapest, NATPE Streaming+ and the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards

NATPE filed for creditor protection in October after COVID-related event cancellations left it unable to pay its bills. The company reports the deal could be finalized as soon as Dec 23.
Brunico Communications president and CEO Russell Goldstein said he plans to bring some NATPE events back in 2023. Brunico produces a roster of international events, including Kidscreen Summit, Realscreen Summit and the Banff World Media Festival.
