The Alberta Magazine Publishers Association (AMPA) is seeking nominations for the annual Alerta Magazine Awards to be presented at a gala in March 2012.



Submissions are now open for the annual contest of editorial excellence and recognition of individuals and publications "that have contributed significantly to Alberta's magazine publishing industry", notes AMPA. Nominees do not have to be AMPA members, but must be current residents of Alberta.

Best digital presence is a new category added this year.

Meanwhile, the Atlantic Journalism Awards has also opened up to entries for the 2011 juried competition. Submissions are being accepted for a number of categories, including magazine and online work. Click here for more details.
