Dogs in Canada magazine coming to a close
Dogs In Canada, a more than century old publication, will no longer publish in print following its December issue.
A statement posted on The Canadian Kennel Club's website notes the Canadian Kennel board of directors was notified Sunday by the board of Apex Publishing that "after months of consideration, it has been determined that there is no reasonable expectation of profit for Apex Publishing".
Apex Publishing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Kennel Club.
The 2012 Dogs Annual and the December 2011 issue of Dogs in Canada magazine will be the final issues to be published. However, "It is anticipated that the well-known Dogs in Canada brand will continue to have a strong web-based Canadian Kennel Club presence and continue to provide a major online information source for the fancy, as well as for the pet-owning public," reads the statement.
