People in Print: Changes at Eye Weekly, Chatelaine
Laas Turnbull is joining Star Media Group –published Eye Weekly as publisher and editor, effective August 16. Turnbull will assume leadership for all Eye Weekly print and online properties and report directly to Star Media Group president and Toronto Star publisher John Cruickshank.
Turnbull most recently worked as executive vice president of Brunico Communications and has worked previously as editor in chief of Report on Business and director of magazine development for The Globe and Mail.
Sun Ngo has joined Rogers Media- published Chatelaine as deputy art director. Ngo has worked previously with Wedding Bells and Best Health.
Also in the Chatelaine art department, Melissa Geurts has joined as associate art director. Geurts moves from Style at Home and Canadian Gardening, where she held the same position.
