I love the cover, however, don't be surprised if you get calls saying that they have children and seeing a naked woman on the cover is disgusting. Been there, have heard it all.

Funny, when you go to the Best Health website, there is no reference to this story at all and no picture of a naked woman. So, what gives? Is this just the same old "put a naked woman on the cover" ploy or is there actually some content around this image?

@St. Thomas -- I'm not sure why, exactly you assume the magazine cover "controversy" would be discussed on the Best Health web site or that this cover story would be already online, since this issue is still on newsstands. It gauls me that readers are increasingly assuming that whatever they'd pay $4.99 to read on newsstand should be on *free* on that publication's site. You wanna talk about it, you should go buy the magazine, and then talk about it some more here.

The only point I was making was that when a magazine puts a provocative image, or headline or whatever on the very first page - the cover - I think they would want to use that image as a "beacon" to content around that image or statement. So, when I see something like that I want to know more. The way I find out more is by clicking the links supplied in the story. I expected to see that image and a description of the content around it but I didn't. I thought that maybe there'd be a list of stuff with a little thumbnail of that image to indicate the content that related to that story theme. I even looked in a bunch of other tabs and couldn't find any connection between the image and the content. That's what made me think that the image was there merely to draw attention. But I see from your subsequent note that there actually is quite specific content dealing with body image and the picture is meant to illustrate that content. It's that I was looking for from the beginning.

And yet there's a reference to liposuction right at the top of the page. *sigh*
