It was announced earlier this week that Jane Francisco is taking over as editor in chief at Chatelaine magazine. She most recently served as editor in chief at Style at Home magazine, published by Transcontinental. No word yet on who will succeed her at the magazine.

Francisco is a former editor in chief of both Glow and Wish magazines. During her last two years at Wish, she also served as executive editor of St. Joseph Media's Lifestyles group, which included Wish, Gardening Life and Canadian Family.

She takes over from Maryam Sanati who was let go as editor in chief last week. Chatelaine is the number one magazine on Masthead's Top 50 Magazines in Canada. It has a paid circulation of 553,000.
