People in print: Changes at RedPoint Media, and more
Karen Hounjet

Calgary-based RedPoint Media Group Inc. appointed Karen Hounjet to the position of sales manager in August 2008.  Prior to joining RedPoint, Hounjet was an account executive with CTV Calgary from 1999 to 2008.   She began her career in Saskatchewan and later Ontario in print media sales, representing a variety of regional magazines and upscale publications including Western Living, Ontario Living, London Magazine and Visitor Magazine. 

Spafax Canada has appointed Brandon Kirk to the position of director of sales. Kirk, who will work in Spafax's Toronto office, was most recently manager of integrated accounts for the Rogers Marketing Solutions group and has previously held sales and sales management positions with CanWest, Time Inc. and Reader's Digest. 

Tim Peel

BPA Worldwide, the circulation auditing bureau, has promoted Timothy M. Peel to vice president of the Canadian Circulations Auditing Bureau (CCAB), BPA’s Canadian division. Peel has been with CCAB since 1999 and became general manager in 2004.

Kellie Davenport will be joining 2: The Magazine for Couples as acting deputy editor in late October. She’ll be filling in for Catalina Margulis, who is going on maternity leave.  Davenport comes to 2 from Redwood Custom Communications, where she has worked on the Kraft and CAA accounts (she's been managing editor at CAA mag the past couple years and before that was senior editor on Kraft's What's Cooking).

Sarah Rogers has vacated the online editor post at, where she has worked for the last two years. Prior to that, Rogers, a graduate of Humber College’s journalism program, was the online editor at
