Newcom keeps on truckin' with latest acquisition
Logistics is published in both English and French.

Newcom Média Québec of Montreal has acquired a new title that fits nicely into its stable of transportation-industry trade magazines. Newcom Quebec, the sister company to Toronto-based Newcom Business Media (Today’s Trucking, highwaySTAR, TruckandTrailer), has purchased Logistics Magazine from owner/publisher Mark Duhamel in a six-figure deal that was announced last week.

“They were looking to sell and we’ve known Mark for many years,” said Joe Glionna, general manager for Newcom Média Québec. “It was a good fit for us.”

Logistics Magazine, established in 1997, is a bimonthly title that “provides in-depth information and analyses on various products and services, as well as detailed studies on many trends and techniques related to logistics.” Published in both English and French, it has a qualified circulation around 18,000 and was based out of Mont Tremblant, Que.

Steve Bouchard, editor of Transport Routier magazine and a former editor of Logistics, has been promoted to editorial director for both titles.
