In Pereira’s recommendation letter, Duncan Hood, Star Senior Editor of Business and Housing, called her a disciplined and smart team player. “Despite her young age, and just a couple years of experience working as a journalist, Ana’s work is already on par with, and perhaps even better than, the work of senior journalists with decades of experience.” Prior to joining the Star, she completed an internship with Bloomberg News, worked for BNN Bloomberg, and spent a summer with the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. Pereira holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
